Automatic control system for Gas Compressor Unit.

We developed control systems for following GCU – GTK-10I (10 MW, GE MS3002), GTK-25I (25 MW, NuovoPignone, turbine MS-5002), GTN-6 (6 MW, producer Ural Turbine Works, USSR), GTN-16 (16 MBT, producer Ural Turbine Works, USSR), GTK-10 (10 MW, producer Nevsky plant, USSR), GT-750-6 (6 MW, producer Nevsky plant, USSR), GPA-6 3 MT71 (6,3 MW, SC SPCGTI”ZORYA” – “MASHPROEKT”, Ukraine)

Control and protection functions:

  • Automatic check of GCU operation ability;
  • Automatic (according to specified algorithms) and remote (at the command of shift engineer) control of technological equipment;
  • GCU automatic protection in all operation modes including blower anti surge protection;
  • Change of low-pressure turbine (LPT) rotor speed at the command of shift engineer or ICS CD;
  • Regulation of LPT rotor speed according to specification;
  • Regulation of high-pressure turbine (HPT) rotor speed according to gas temperature behind LPT (distributor repositioning);
  • Regulation of power gas pressure in intervalvular area according to HPT rotor speed;
  • Regulation of air temperature at axial flow compressor input according to free air dew point (deicer system);
  • HPT rotor speed acceleration limiting ;
  • LPT rotor speed acceleration limiting;
  • Limiting regulation of combustion materials maximal temperature behind LPT (by HPT rotor speed change and change of control valve position);
  • Regulation of blower working point remoteness from surge area (antisurge regulation).

Informational functions:
  • Constant control and measuring of gas compressor unit (GCU) technological parameters;
  • Calculation of indirect technological and ecological parameters of GCU;
  • Position signals control of GCU  equipment;
  • Displaying  text and graphic information of GCU technological process and equipment state;
  • Automatic indication, displaying and audible warning of technological parameters runaway from set values;
  • Registration and storing  retrospective information about technological parameters,  equipment state and shift engineer actions;
  • Generation, storing and printing  reports;
  • Hot control and informative link with Industrial control system of compressor department (ICS CD).
